Buscando a causa de todas as coisas pelos seus efeitos, o homem chega à existência de um Ser Absoluto, que é causa da existência de todos os seres, reflexos de seu Criador. A obra da criação tem a caligrafia de Deus e a harmonia do universo criado proclama a existência de um governador que mantém tudo em perfeita ordem, uma Providência Divina que prevê todas as necessidades de suas criaturas, para provêlas. Sem embargo, a oração dos homens, criaturas inteligentes, coopera, enquanto causa segunda, com o governo divino: quem reza quer no tempo o que Deus quer na eternidade. E muitas vezes a Providência se manifesta por caminhos inescrutáveis, por veredas obscuras pelo excesso de esplendor para nossa debilidade humana: são as provas que Ela permite, para sempre tirar delas um bem maior. Deste modo, alcança o dom da ciência e seus frutos aquele que se abandona nas mãos da Providência, em inteira conformidade com a sua vontade, uma das mais belas formas de exercitar a fé e a esperança, unidas à mais perfeita caridade. /// Searching for the cause of all things through its effects, man comes to grasp the existence of an Absolute Being, who is the cause of the existence of all beings, reflections of their Creator. The work of creation bears God’s handwriting, and the harmony of the created universe proclaims the existence of a ruler who maintains everything in perfect order, a Divine Providence that foresees every need of His creatures, to provide for them. However, the prayer of men, intelligent creatures, cooperates with this divine government as a second cause: whoever prays desires in time what God desires in eternity. And Providence is often manifested in inscrutable ways, in paths that are obscure to our human weakness, due to the excess of their splendor: these are the trials that He allows, to always draw from them a greater good. In this way, those who abandon themselves in the hands of Providence, in full conformity with His will, obtain the gift of science and its fruits, and this is one of the most beautiful ways to practice faith and hope, united with the most perfect charity.
