La misión providencial de los laicos

Resumo

Es sin duda durante el siglo XX que la Iglesia ha revalorizado el papel de los laicos como auxiliares de su apostolado evangelizador, especialmente a partir del Concilio Vaticano II. Por esta razón nos hemos propuesto en el presente artículo ver primeramente cómo a lo largo de la historia la noción de laico fue tomando su verdadero significado. Analizaremos también la promoción progresiva que la Iglesia dio a esta realidad eclesial y la importancia de un trabajo en equipo. Por fin intentaremos mostrar en qué consiste la providencialidad de los laicos y cuáles son sus obligaciones como personas inseridas en la sociedad para transmitir el mensaje de salvación que la Iglesia tiene para ofrecer a todos los seres humanos. /// It is certain that during the twentieth century the Church revalued the role of the laity as auxiliaries in its evangelizing apostolate, especially since the Second Vatican Council. For this reason, we propose, in this article, to first examine how the notion of the laity acquired its true meaning over the course of history. We will also analyze the progressive promotion that the Church has given to this ecclesial reality and the importance of team-work. Finally, we attempt to show in what the providentiality of the laity consists and what their obligations are as people inserted in society, to convey the message of salvation that the Church has to offer to all human beings.
