Los Padres de la Iglesia y los no-cristianos

Resumo

A partir de las enseñanzas transmitidas por los Padres de la Iglesia, especialmente San Agustín de Hipona y San Justino mártir, se procede a una reflexión encaminada a realzar la misión salvadora de Cristo, tanto después de su venida, cuanto en el contexto del Antiguo Testamento. Las contribuciones provenientes de la tradición judaica y de la filosofía griega — ambas muy estimadas por los Padres —, resaltan, cada una a su manera, el papel central de Cristo en la obra de la Creación, en la historia de la humanidad, y se armonizan con la voz de la Iglesia en el diálogo interreligioso contemporáneo. /// From the teachings bequeathed by the Fathers of the Church, especially St. Augustine of Hippo and St. Justin Martyr, a reflection is developed with a view to emphasizing the salvific mission of Christ, both after His appearance as well as in the context of the Old Testament. The contributions offered by Judaic tradition and by Greek philosophy — both highly valued by the Fathers —, highlight, each in its own way, the central role of Christ in the work of Creation, in the history of humanity, and harmonize with the voice of the Church in the contemporary inter religious dialogue.
