A teologia do Verbo em Santo Agostinho

Resumo

A partir de conceitos retirados da filosofia de Aristóteles o arianismo elabora a negação da consubstancialidade do Pai e do Filho. Agostinho contrapõe o mesmo instrumental epistemológico para responder aos arianos e elucidar o mistério trinitário. Assim, ao refutar o arianismo, Agostinho confecciona de modo definitivo sua teologia do Verbo. /// Departing from concepts derived from the philosophy of Aristotle, Arianism elaborates the negation of consubstantiality of the Father and the Son. Augustine reverses this epistemological instrument to respond to the Arians and to elucidate the Trinitarian mystery. Thus, in refuting Arianism, Augustine definitively outlines his theology of the Word.
