El encuentro del logos cristiano con la cultura helenística

Resumo

Este artículo presenta la relación del cristianismo con la cultura clásica griega. La Religión del Logos Encarnado se afirma como la vera religio frente a los cultos paganos politeístas, pero va de encuentro a la cultura Griega, notadamente en lo referente a la historiografìa, a la paideia y a la filosofía, pues en ellas encuentra una tentativa válida de búsqueda racional de la verdad. El encuentro con la paideia griega dio origen a una nueva pedagogía, “la paideia de Cristo”; en el ámbito de la historiografía, la presencia del Logos en la Historia le hace alcanzar su máximo sentido; la filosofía, por su vez, encuentra en la racionabilidad de la Fe, la luz de la Verdad. Concluye el autor apuntando como el encuentro de la Fe Cristiana con la cultura y la religión de su tiempo, produjo la crítica a lo irracional, y el cultivo y desarrollo de lo verdaderamente humano. /// This article presents the relationship between Christianity and classic Greek culture. The Religion of the Incarnate Logos, affirms itself to be the vera religio in relation to the pagan polytheistic cults, but finds affinity with Greek culture notably in what pertains to historiography, paideia, and philosophy, because it encounters within them a valid attempt for the rational search for truth. The encounter with Greek paideia brought forth a new pedagogy, “the paideia of Christ”; in the ambit of historiography, the presence of the Logos in history, reaches its ultimate meaning; philosophy, in turn, finds the light of Truth in the rationality of Faith. The author concludes by suggesting that the encounter of the Christian Faith with the culture and religion of its time brings about the criticism of the irrational, and cultivates and develops that which is truly human.
